About this split pdf
Choose one PDF and a list of page numbers or ranges to extract into a brand-new PDF, leaving the original file untouched. This is the reverse of combining files with Merge PDF: instead of joining documents together, it pulls out just the pages you need, such as a single chapter, a signed page, or an appendix, without opening a full desktop PDF editor. Processing happens with a PDF library running in your browser, so the file is read, split, and rebuilt entirely on your device.
How it works
The PDF is parsed to count its pages, then your page list, such as “1-3, 5, 8-10”, is expanded into individual page numbers and validated against that count. The matching pages are copied in ascending order into a new PDF document, which is then offered as a download.

Limitations & privacy
One PDF at a time, up to 20 MB. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported. Extracted pages always come out in ascending page order, regardless of the order typed in the range list.
Inputs and results stay in this browser. Only tool identifiers are stored for your recently used tools. You can clear that history from the directory.

How do I write a page range?
Separate individual pages and ranges with commas, such as “1-3, 5, 8-10”. Ranges use a hyphen between the first and last page to keep.
Does this change the original PDF?
No. The original file stays on your device unchanged; a new PDF containing only the pages you chose is created for download.
Can I split an encrypted PDF?
No. Remove the password using the PDF's original source application first, then split the unprotected file here.
